SALVATION

Every day people are making moves, moving from place to place, class to class, or friend to friend. The moves you make each day will determine the direction of your life. Some are good, some aren’t so good, and others don’t really matter at all.

So what about making a move that matters?
You may not know this, but your life matters to God. He loves you and has a purpose for your life, and He wants you to live a life that matters. Making moves that matter starts with moving towards Jesus.

Why is Jesus relevant to your life? What does a man who lived 2,000 years ago have to do with you, your friends, your family, and your life at school? Why should He matter to you?

“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’” (John 14:6)

Not only did Jesus claim to be the only way to God the Father, but He claimed to actually be God. And while that may sound crazy, we can know that it’s true. Jesus lived a perfect life and then was crucified, but three days later He came back from the dead, proving that He is who He said He is.

“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’” (John 14:6)

Jesus died so that we could have life, and to start living a life that matters, we have to put our faith in the One who matters most.

Are you ready to make a move? Take a moment to pray, talk to God, and ask Him to come into your life and save you.

Jesus died so that we could have life, and to start living a life that matters, we have to put our faith in the One who matters most.

BAPTISM

What is baptism?
Baptism is a public declaration of the transformation that has taken place in your life, an outward sign that you have chosen to believe in Jesus Christ. Being immersed in the water is a symbol of being buried with Christ, and being brought out of the water is a symbol of being raised to new life with Christ. (Romans 6:4)

Why should I get baptized?
In the Gospels, Jesus instructs us to get baptized and set the example by getting baptized Himself (Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 1:9)

Baptism doesn’t save you; it’s a symbol of the salvation you have received (1 Peter 3:21). We choose to get baptized out of obedience to Jesus and a commitment to follow Him.

When is the best time to get baptized?
For everyone who decides to follow Jesus, baptism is the Next Step. Anyone who commits his or her life to following Jesus is ready to be baptized (Acts 8:12).

If I’ve been baptized before, do I need to be baptized again?
If you haven’t been baptized by immersion since you decided to truly follow Jesus, we want to help you take your Next Step of being baptized. Once you’ve taken that step, there’s no need to be baptized again.
